An option to pick-up orders at our workshop and showroom is available, please contact us to schedule a pick-up day and time. We will gladly help you load things up. Please bring plenty of blankets and straps to safely pack your order
Pencil Post Beds are available in all standard sizes and are expertly built by our furniture makers in our Lititz, Lancaster County Pennsylvania workshop. Our Pencil Post Beds are signed & dated by the furniture makers when completed. They are authentic reproductions and of very high quality and are expertly crafted & finished.
- Our Beds are built with true mortise & tenon joinery secured with through bolts with solid brass covers
- All Beds include steel bed irons & steel box spring cross supports that will accommodate split box springs and will meet or exceed any mattress manufacturers warranty requirements
- Beds completely disassemble for economical shipping and easy moving up stairways
- Beds can be easily transported in a small station wagon or mini-van if you decide to pick up at our showroom, we provide easy to follow assembly instructions
- 4 Standard Headboard shapes are available and shown below
- Top of headboard is 50″ from floor, headboards measure 21-1/2″ wide
- Posts are made from 2-3/4″ square solid wood
- Pencil Post Beds include an upper 6 piece frame
- Side rails are 1-3/4″ thick x 4-1/2″ wide, measurement from floor to underside of side rails / bottom of box spring is 15″
- Bed is shown with recommended total box spring / mattress thickness of 19″ which puts the top of the mattress 33″ from the floor. Low profile box springs are recommended for thicker mattresses
- Example is shown crafted of Cherry wood in our Amber finish with a flattop headboard, you can shop for other bedroom pieces that complement our Pencil Post Beds HERE
- Beds can also be built out of Tiger Maple and other woods, they are also very popular in our painted finishes like Black over Red
